You can finely grind almonds into meal in your food processor. If you have a Trader Joe's near you, they sell almond meal in bags in their nut section.

If you use the food processor, be sure to stop every now and then and redistribute the almonds so that you don't end up with almond butter - a simple stir with a spoon will do!

Good catch, littleknitter. I was going to say don't just turn the food processor on and let it go to do this. Use the pulse feature, so you have better control.

Great. Questions answered. For some reason, I didn't catch this thread when asking about methods for making almond meal. Some people seem to interchange the words almond meal for almond flour - but surely they're different??
