how do you shred muenster cheese

I always freeze soft cheeses before I shred them. Makes it much easier. I have also found that SOMETIMES you can use a vegetable peeler to peel off thin layers of cheese in a pinch if you don't have a grater.
a cheese grater usually has two sides. Use the side with larger holes.

Well played. You deserve a cookie.
Plus, a slice in the morning = vegetables for breakfast. (Kinda?)
