What fall fruit would work for a fruit tart. I've only made one with fresh berries before.

Pears and cranberries combine well together. Grapes could also make a good tart.

Ah yes! How could I forget one of my favorite Autumn combos - Cranberry-Walnut tart?

Cranberries are delicious in a tart.

I highly recommend Dorie Greenspan's French pear tart, which has a press-in crust and almond cream filling. It is super easy, so long as you have a food processor, but it looks very sophisticated. I always get a lot of compliments on it. You can find the recipe on doriegreespan.com

Pears and apples both make gorgeous and divine tarts! Also Quince. Here's a recipe for my favorite Pear Tart: http://food52.com/recipes/9208-cardamom-pear-tart-with-browned-butter-custard

Pears! I make a rustic pear tart with a streusel topping, posted here on Food52, which is a real crowd-pleaser: http://food52.com/recipes/14452-rustic-pear-tart-with-walnut-streusel-topping ;o)
