Custard on a pie crust-will it get soggy?
Am making the summer berry tart - fresh fruit sits atop a lemon custard in a tart shell.

All the elements are done and cooled but we won't be eating it for several hours. Will the crust get soggy by then - should I wait and assemble it just before serving.

Yes, custard filled pastry will get softer if not downright soggy (depending on weather and how moisture filling) in a day or two.
If you gave the flexibility, yes assemble shortly before serving.
