Sun dried tomatoes. How best to rehydrate to eat 'raw'?

You can soak them in a little warm water, but that only plumps them up a little. I've been known to eat them raw without rehydrating them, but that's just me.
I agree. By soaking, they will plump up and remove some of the saltiness.
A very cool trick gets those rice-y insides all *bellissimo*.
