why did my cake cracked on top? I made a chocolate cake and it cracked on top. It was done 10 min before timing

Thank you for the answer. The recipe says "medium" heat . Maybe 350 was to hot and not medium!! But I will check my oven.

Too high an oven temperature can cause cracking, and the fact that the cake was done early suggests that could be your problem. Is your oven's temperature guage accurate?
