What is the best apple slicer/corer/peeler u have found? I make apple chips for my kids w apples that have short growing seasons.

Check out the Johnny by Victorio. It makes thin slices that are perfect for apple chips. Your kids may also enjoy peeling and slicing the apples by themselves, as it's quite fun to do it with this little machine.

You really need two tools a corer and a slicer. For the latter the Kyocera ceramic blade slicer works great. It's inexpensive and you can easily adjust the thickness of anything you slice.

OXO has one that is inexpensive, dishwasher-safe and small to store.
