Self rising cornmeal

How much baking soda should I add to 3.5 cups cornmeal? My recipe asked for self-rising cornmeal and all I have is regular cornmeal.

For each cup of cornmeal, add 1.5 tsp. baking power (NOT baking soda) and .5 tsp. fine-grained salt (more if you use kosher salt). So you'll need a total of 5.25 tsp baking powder and 1.75 tsp. (or more) salt.
