After venison, something lemony would be refreshing and light. You could buy the best lemon sorbet you can find and serve it with some fresh berries and small meringue cookies on the side, or shortbreads.

We make this cake all the time. And it's vegan. http://www.food52.com/recipes/3057_fudgy_chocolate_stout_cake

I'd go with a warm fruit crisp: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Harvest-Pear-Crisp-with-Candied-Ginger-355830 or http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Dried-Cranberry-and-Apple-Crisp-11127
You could serve one of the vanilla coconut milk ice creams on the side (Coconut Bliss brand or So Delicious brand.)

Are you looking to bake something? You could make a fruit pie or cobbler--lots of recipes on this site. You could even bake a cake--just use Lactaid milk in place of regular milk where it's called for. Or you could just saute some apples and pears in butter and sprinkle some toasted nuts or oatmeal on them with some spices.
