I made a lime pound cake for my class (keep in mind kids palate) it's too tart! Ideas to balance the flavor Besides chocolate? Thanks!!

I wouldn't even consider chocolate with the lime. My first thought was a very vanilla-y glaze, but sam1148's suggestion of coconut would really be delicious. I would be sure to use enough sugar to produce the yin and yang.

You could add whip up a glaze of powdered sugar and water (just add water to powdered sugar until it's desired consistency), then drizzle it over the top. Alternatively, you could make a simple syrup (see the article on this site), poke some holes in the cake with a toothpick, then pour the syrup on top and let it absorb. Good luck!

The cake really needs to be still warm in order to imbibe a glaze.

Coconut milk for the liquid element and shredded coconut and cut back on the lime just a bit.
