Is it possible to over cook vinegar?

Yea I boiled down vinegar to use for pickling and I think I over boiled it because it tastes bad

Do you mean overcook as in it makes a bad flavour? Or overcook as in it simmers down and becomes very concentrated? Or overcooked as in it evaporates and boils dry, risking damaging your pan?

First one, I don't think so, the second two, certainly.
