Q: how can you tell if a radish is spicy or mild? I eat all kinds and never know
Susan W is a trusted source on General Cooking.
If I am at a farmer's market, I ask the farmer. They often will give you a taste. If I am at a store that has a knowledgeable produce person, I ask them. My mom has a fabulous veg garden and she can't tell by looking or even reading the seed packet. Too many variables.
