Am looking for a nice breakfast menu to serve four for overnight guests that will be coming this week. Any suggestions?

Baked french toast, bacon, greek yogurt mixed with honey, orange zest and vanilla with granola on the side, some fresh squeezed OJ and you're good to go.

It is summertime ,so you may not want to serve anything too heavy ,hot, or complicated. I recently served guests a large platter of melon slices and berries.. Lovely colors and flavors, and made Mrs . Larkin's Royal Wedding Scones. Those who wanted scrambled eggs with some fresh herbs had them, but most of us were happy with fruit and scones and coffee. Those scones are so delicious and summery, and full of blueberries ...my new favorite summer breakfast treat! My guests left with the recipe. Thanks Mrs Larkin.

If you like the flavors of northern Europe, you could have some fun with a Danish or a Russian spread. Open with a pitcher of Bloody Marys made with aquavit or vodka, serve smorreboard (lovely open face sandwiches) or zakuski (Russian tapas, if you will). While they are normally served at lunch or dinner, they make a great breakfast buffet. Smoked, pickled or fresh fish, deli meats to your taste, hard boiled eggs, cheeses, foraged or local vegetables (with a nod to Noma), thin slices of dense rye bread, finish with home-made Danish pastries (which they call Vienna pastries) and great coffee.

This is a bit of a departure from the norm - and it is SO delicious, vegetarian, satisfying. It's savory so you could add a fruit salad for some sweet:

I think this recipe from the front page today would be good: http://food52.com/recipes/30257-savory-oatmeal-with-ham-poached-eggs-and-hollandaise-sauce

I've become very fond of egg souffles (I especially like them with vegetables - zucchini, shallots, and mushrooms with Gruyere is particularly nice). You could serve it with some pastries, crispy potatoes (the contrast in texture between them and the egg is interesting and the saltiness adds a nice dimension), and fresh fruit, and chicken apple sausage.

I really like to make German Pancake for company breakfast. so easy and versatile. It bakes in the oven while you fry sausages and cut up some melon. This is my recipe, although now, in August, I'd use peaches and Saigon cinnamon in lieu of the pears and cardamom. https://food52.com/recipes/8257-german-pancake-with-pears-and-cardamom

Pancakes, waffles, toast with a couple different topping choices (peanut butter, avocado, jam, etc.), and fresh fruit are all classic breakfast favorites. For something a little different, you can make puddla. It's basically a pancake-frittata hyrbrid made from chickpea flour, water, and oil. You can make it either savory or sweet depending on whether you add vegetables or fruits to the batter.
