What is equivalent to hard red wheat?

What are you using it for, and do you mean flour or wheat berries? If you're talking about flour, hard white wheat would have a similar protein level but with a milder flavour than hard red. Generally bread flour is made from hard wheat and all-purpose flour is a blend of hard and soft wheat, so if you can't find flour specifically labelled as hard red wheat just look for bread flour - it may not be red but should have similar properties for baking purposes.
