Veal bone broth substitute for ossobuco

I'm going to make ossobuco but cannot get veal bones for the broth which I'd use for the ossobuco and risotto. Should I make a chicken or beef broth instead?

I would use chicken in that case, unless you happen to have beef only around. The beef stock is likely to be stronger than the veal flavor. The chicken won't be.

I've been there. Just use whatever stock that you have.
