What sauce would go best with sweet and spicy meatballs?

This is for my housewarming. Was going to use marinara but want something different.

This one's a hit at our house all the time:

This is going to sound weird but... One part grape jelly, two parts chili sauce or ketchup. Add a little mustard or Worcestershire sauce to taste and bring to a simmer. Throw in your meatballs, let them keep simmering 20-30 minutes, and you're good to go. For an actual recipe, just search "grape jelly meatballs."

Thank you! Should I thin it out with broth or anything?

That won't be necessary. By all means experiment with the recipe though if you have the time - I've mixed ginger or garlic into mine, a small splash of red wine, a drizzle of balsamic... It's more versatile than it sounds from the unique ingredients. :)
