oven doesn't get hot enough to make biscuits. Is there any alternative?

Do you have a grill? I've made crisps and cobblers on the grill with success.

I would have my oven calibrated. A standard oven should not have problems getting hot enough to bake biscuits.

You CAN bake them at a lower temperature...they just won't rise as much.
