sheet cake

Can anyone point me towards a toddler friendly (i.e. non-fancy) vanilla sheet cake recipe that's both reliably moist and sturdy enough for copious amounts of frosting?

I should mention that you may need to double this recipe, depending on how much you'll need. I believe this will make a single 13 x 18" layer which you can divide and two and stack, it should serve 20 children comfortably....or you can double it and stack that and serve 35 with leftovers.
