I made the sausage/lentil soup tonight (thanks to those who answered my Q about green vs regular lentils) and now I'm wondering if, after the soup cools, I can freeze some portion of it? Will freezing wreck the consistency/flavor?

I looked at the recipe and I don't think the lentils are pureed. If the lentils are whole, they will not maintain their shape or consistency when frozen. If you puree the lentils they will be fine if frozen. The soup looks delicious!

No, in fact it might actually improve it once reheated.
