How long does evaporated milk last in the fridge once opened?

Once you opened the milk caned, it uses another 3-4 days. After this period, you notice a slight difference in its smell. As the day passes by, it starts producing a strong smell. This specifies that milk gets spoiled. No need to use that, just throw it.

and if you opened a can for a recipe and don't need it all, freeze the remainder in a dedicated ice cube tray.

PS although various sites (Still Tasty, Eatbydate) recommend against freezing, saying the defrosted product will be watery, I find in practice that small amounts frozen a month or two work well in soups, sauces & smoothies.
