Where can I get a chicken to roast the day before thanksgiving in NYC?

Can't you just go to any grocery store or butcher shop and get a whole chicken?

I would go to Whole Foods. There must be one near you, there are quite a number in New York. My next choice would be Gourmet Garage. There are multiple locations of that as well, or Fairway Market..Perhaps it would be a good idea to call before you go. You might be able to reserve one.

Also Whole Foods on the UES had them yesterday! And Eli's on the UES has them as well.
