Why did the meringue pool at the bottom of my Baked Alaska in the oven?

There can be several reasons, but I suspect it being the meringue being not stable/firm enough (it should be thick and glossy like marshmallow cream), so make sure you use warm egg whites and whip it slowly for a longer period of time. If your ice cream is also melted, then it means you left it in the oven too long and the whole thing has collapsed.
