pumpkin pie filling - how long after best before date

I discovered I have a can of pie filling best before 25 Sept 2014. I know that is manufacturer talk for peak flavor, etc. but that products are good long after that. Your opinions knowledge advice - safe to use or best to chuck it out...

I realize we are in 2023, but am wondering if indeed the canned pumpkin pie filling with the best used by date of 4/2014 is unuseable?

I looked at a reputable site, and found info that it is good
• for 3 to 5 years
• after the “best by” date
• as long as their is no dent to or leakage from the can.

I would not hesitate to use it. I would have no concerns about safety or flavor.
