Totally! If you want to do a braided edge on a double crust pie, it's a good idea to use a pie plate with a wide edge. Pinch your top crust and bottom crust together well, and trim away the excess. Then use scissors to cut the crust flush with the edge of the pie plate. Brush the edges with water, then apply your braids on top. The main thing to note is to not have the crust at the edge too thick, or once you add the braid it will be WAY too crazy thick!
