Thank you for your great answers!
Could I cook rice in the cocette with the same success as in the rice cooker?

That's a great question. I'm not sure you could with the same success. Cocottes are much wider creating a cooking surface that might be too shallow. It might be good for something like risotto, though I've not tried it myself!

Yes, Lindsay-Jean is right -- the rice cooker is much smaller (300 to 400 grams is its limit depending on which size you choose) and differently than a cocotte, with taller, slightly thinner walls. The cast iron composition, however, still provides that even heat distribution, ensuring that each grain is cooked rather than clumping together. The super neat notches on the inside of the lid that you find on almost all Staub products also help ensuring your rice comes out perfectly steamed. Though this little cutie might not look the part, it serve up to 3-4 cups of cooked rice. I have the smaller one myself (the .75) and it has changed my rice game, completely!

The rice cookers are much smaller, .75 or 1.5 quart (but they can be used for more than just rice! Here are a few other ideas for using them: https://food52.com/blog/18638-what-to-cook-in-our-itty-bitty-pretty-staub-stovetop-rice-cooker) while the round cocottes are 4, 5.5, or 7 quart.
