Slow cooker is the stylish way to say "crock pot".

No, Crock Pot is a brand name. It's similar to when I say Cuisinart. I have a food processor, toaster oven and a slow cooker with the Cuisinart name.

No difference. Crock pot is the brand name of one line of slow cookers. They have been around for so long, people tend to use the brand name to describe the item. I have three slow cookers. Two crock pot brand and one cuisinart slow cooker. Sometimes I catch myself calling them all crock pots.
