I made Madzoon, the Armenian yogurt. There is a lot of liquid in the big bowl after it has been dished out. Is this whey? What can this liquid be used for?

I'm not familiar with that type of yogurt but it should be whey. You can use it in place of water when cooking. Depending on what you are cooking, you will probably only want to substitute half or less of the water for whey or you may notice a slight difference in the taste.
