Please help me with this confusion. Want to bake LAHEYS BREAD BUTONLY HAVE STURDY LARGECUISINART SOUP POT. oR WOULD A CAST IRON PANWITHA UPSIDE DOWN

WOULD A CAST IRON PAN w ITH SOUP POT OVER IT BE BETTER. In otherwords any successful alternatives to a Le Creuset would be most welcome

I bake this bread all the time and have found that pretty much any oven-safe covered pot will work, whether it is cast iron or ceramic. You might have to cover the knob with foil or remove it and fill the hole with foil if it is not sturdy enough for high temps. What is your Cuisinart soup pot made of? Are you concerned it is too large? Bear in mind that a larger pan will produce a flatter loaf.
