I'm making salmon for Thanksgiving. I want it to have a smokey flavor. If I bake it in the oven on a cedar plank, will it impart a smokey flavor?

I think is a delicious idea and change to traditional turkey! Best of luck. I love cedar-planked fish.

Isn't it one of the most delicious things ever?!?! We're still going to have turkey but this will be great for the Pescatarians :)

Yes, you can use it in the oven and it will impart a smoky flavor. Don't forget to make sure the board has been submerged in water at least two hours much loner a day for best results.

Hi Shelley - we carry Wildwood Grilling grill planks in our shop, and here are some tips from them for using them in the oven: http://www.wildwoodgrilling.com/cedar-planks-in-oven/

Thank you! I've already ordered planks, but next time I will check out Wildwood Grilling :) I'm going to use this technique and I'm sure the guests are going to love it!
