When a recipe calls for a cup of sifted flour, is that a cup before or after sifting?

Hi! I should have asked before whisking the eggs!

How much flour is needed here? Is that a cup post sifted?

look at it this way: one cup of flour, sifted vs. one cup of sifted flour.

Sift, then measure. But for a recipe like this, don't worry about it too much. Really. They'll be fine either way. ;o)
P.S. If it says, "one cup flour, sifted," that usually means, measure and then sift. Have fun, Footnotes. And Happy New Year!
