I have a question about the recipe "Emily's DIY Sweet Vermouth" from fiveandspice. Hello, how would you modify this recipe using red wine?

You mean, instead of the white wine?
Most DIY vermouth recipes use white wine, I think to let the herbal flavors show.
On the other hand, this one already has port and brandy, so if the flavors can stand up to them, it's probably worth a try.
PS If you go with the red wine, I would use same volume as recipe calls for the white wine.
Please excuse stray "brandy" typo at end of first message
It's sweet, salty, and just a little bit tangy.
