What brand of rose water do you recommend? I tried one but the baked goods tasted soapy.

I've used both the Cortas and King Arthur brands, as well as one produced in Turkey- I can't recall the name. Honestly, what makes or breaks goods flavored with rose is the amount of it that is used most of the time. I always try making it in a drink form first, with a new bottle, to decide that all important "how strong" question. Usually I find you don't want more than a few drops. It can be a pretty polarizing flavor as well, with those who love it and those who detest it for tasting soapy, much like lavender is. I suggest you give it another try, but add in your rose flavor by the drop, and taste as you go to decide when enough is enough, if at all possible.
