Eat end of garlic clove

Is it ok to eat the brown end of the garlic clove? The part where it connects to the whole garlic flower

Garlic is a bulb, it doesn't connect to a flower- I suppose you're referring to the hard end where it connects to its roots; it's best to remove this but it will do no real harm and usually disappears in a cooked dish.

Ok haha thanks! I’ve been sautéing without cutting the ends off and wanted to make sure I’m not poisoning myself or anyone haha
