I admit I'm not entirely sure what an oven bag is for....I know my mom did beef roasts in them as a child, but I never understood their benefit. I imagine it would just be easier to spatchcock a turkey and then roast it traditionally? If I'm not grilling it, I like to cook spatchcocked birds at 350 F in the oven until almost done then kick it up to 500 for the final 5 minutes.
