Cheesecake substitute

My recipe calls for 3/4 cup of sour cream if I substitute it with heavy whipping cream would it still be 3/4 cups of heavy whipping cream?

I think that would be fine. I’ve always preferred sour cream in my cheesecakes because it adds a nice tang to the flavor.
