How to “hold” prepared jasmine rice for one hour or more

I’m hosting Asian meal and want to make as much as possible ahead. Don’t know if rice will hold. Can anyone help?

Rice dehydrates very fast and should be made as close as possible to serving time.
There are recipes online that suggest making it in a roasting pan in the oven for a large group. I've not tried this but apparently restaurants use this method.
