Cook it right, the first time.

About to roast a Perdue 7 pound roaster. Can I safely freeze half of it for later cosnsumption?

Personally I wouldn’t again cook a “Perdue 7-pound roaster” filled with antibiotics and no flavor due to feed. Recommend you buy an organic no GMO roaster from a reputable grower. Then it will be a normal size and you won’t need to freeze half.

Can't see why not, I would break it down into manageable pieces and wrap individually in plastic, then bag in zip bags, or if you have a vacuum bag machine, that will really help keep the air out. Whichever route you go, label well and date.
