Are you converting a recipe from using butter to using olive oil, or vice versa? Butter is about 80% fat (varies by country and brand) and 20% water. If replacing butter, use that much oil & water (e.g., for a quarter cup butter use about 3 tbsp and 1 tsp olive oil, and 2 tsp water). If replacing olive oil in a recipe, use about 1.25% butter (e.g., 5 tbsp for a quarter cup oil), and maybe reduce liquids in recipe by 1 tbsp.).

I was rounding the numbers.
