using cake flour instead of ap flour

i'm going to make a blood orange coffee bundt cake, and the recipe calls for ap flour. however, i want to use cake flour to see if it can be lighter, but i was wondering if this may compromise the cake in some way, or if i need to add more flour than the recipe calls for.

I'm not familiar with the recipe, but it could be a bit problematic- the cake might actually be lighter with stronger flour, as it will hold it's structure better. As a general rule, you would add 2 Tb. per cup when substituting cake flour for AP. All purpose flour varies quite a bit as far as gluten content- for the lowest, bleached white is generally the choice.
