Look at online merchants. There are multi use ones (pliable one can be pot holder, etc) and ones that expand (slots of wood slide out to make larger trivet). For light weight and ease of cleaning, I favor bamboo, cork, silicone. But is cork (still?) endangered? If yes, omit that.
