(1) I only have a 9-inch springform pan. (2) I'd prefer to use honeycrisp or Cortland apples. Will those modifications work okay?

I like Cortlands because they don't turn brown even when cooked.

Hi! Yes, just bake the cake for less time (checking in frequently after about 45 minutes). And either of those apple varieties will work great.
