It looks like you just tied the legs. I've always done a full truss but if you don't think it matters I will gladly not because it's hard with a 21lb.

Exactly. In fact, I often don't even tie them! But if they're "wantonly askew" as Julia Child once said, you can just tie the legs without a full truss, and tuck the wing tips under so they don't burn at the tips.
