What cheese can be used as a substitute for requeijao?

I've never heard of this, but according to google this type of cheese spread can be made fairly easily: https://www.oliviascuisine.com/requeijao-brazilian-cream-cheese/ or this one which is a little lighter: https://www.easyanddelish.com/make-requeijao-cremoso-brazilian-cream-cheese-spread/. Looking at the ingredients I'm not sure what a good substitute would be, because it doesn't seem very similar to cream cheese in the US. If you wanted to use cream cheese, I bet these poppers would still taste good.
