I can’t find yellow lentils...any substitutes or are they sold under another name?

Hi there, This is delicious with any lentil. Just be careful not to overcook them if you are using a different version.

If you have Indian groceries nearby (or online, for that matter) consider two yellow pulses they carry...urad dal or pigeon peas.

I make a very similar warm lentil salad using French green lentils. I realize they’re not what the recipe calls for, but if you can’t find yellow lentils for some reason, green lentils are a great substitute. You’ll need to cook them for about 20-30 minutes...longer than yellow lentils.
