I'm having a pig roast do people usually stuff the pig? Also what's the deal with the apple in the mouth I don't understand it?

I have a friend who owns a bakery. Because he has the oven large enough for it, he roasts pigs often for charity events.

Depending on how many you’re feeding, and the size of the pig, I’ve seen him season the interior then add whole loins and tenderloins, to cook inside the whole pig.

And yes, the apple is for decoration :)

Usually don't stuff a whole pig, but you can roll and stuff a loin or pork belly. As for the apple, I always thought it was for decoration :)

Hi! I've never roasted a whole pig, but from what I can find online it doesn't seem like they're usually stuffed. As for the apple in the mouth, here's an answer I found on Chowhound: https://www.chowhound.com/food-news/54738/why-do-you-put-an-apple-in-a-roasting-pigs-mouth/
