Yeast question active vs instant

I tried to make this yesterday and the dough was not cooperating. This is my second attempt and I just realized I have active dry yeast instead of instant. Can I use active? If so do I need to dissolve it in wet ingredients first? Same amount?

Yes, active yeast needs to be dissolved in warm water before mixing with the dough.
Amount - in practice, yes I use the same amount. And it works fine.
Amount - in theory, there might be a ratio to change the amount, but I've not come across one.
If you want more info on the differences between the two yeasts, thekitchn website has a helpful article.
Good luck with the bread making today!
