Which curry powder to use for African curries?

Is there a particular brand of yellow curry that is more authentic for this recipe? (When we cook Japanese curry, we always use S&B brand curry powder.)

Don't know of any ready-made Malawi style of curry.
Two alternatives - make from scratch (many recipes out there) or mix any curry powder with more turmeric (to make a notably yellow blend).
