sweet and spicy pickled ramps question

So. We have all our ramps ready to pickle tomorrow, and all the ingredients. In the method there is mention of CLOVES but not listed in the ingredient list. How many cloves do we need? HELP ASAP

Not sure exactly, but cloves are often used in very small amounts.
For example, in my pickling spices recipe, 1 clove for every tablespoon of other spices.
You could apply that ratio or use more/less depending on how well you like cloves.
