Chickpeas: How long do they last after soaking?

I soaked my chickpeas for about 24 hours. I was hoping to make falafel, but then got busy and couldn’t do it right away. I drained the chickpeas and put them in a ziplock bag. They’ve been in the fridge now for 14 days. Are they still okay to cook and eat? How can I tell if they’ve gone bad?

I don't know if there is a reliable sign.
One good article I found said soaked-and-uncooked for 7 days maximum.
Your 14 to now 15 days is double that.
I would toss them.
Your choice.
