I have a recipe that uses '1 Cup of Self-Raising Flour' would it be possible to use Ground Almonds and a TSP of Baking Powder?

This is for a Bran Loaf.

Adding baking powder is fine.
Using ground almonds for all the flour?
The loaf will be very dense, and may not rise at all.
If you need/want to replace regular flour, choose one of the many gf flours now available.
